Dr Michael Woodcock – Practice Owner/Vet

 Who is Michael when he’s not being a vet?

An Iron Man! Michael competes in Iron Man Triathlons both here and abroad. Ask him what he did on the weekend and he’ll probably tell you casually that he rode 160km on his bike then ran 14km. He’s up at 4.30am training before work too! Michael also loves a good Mocha in the morning.


Michael graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science.

Special Interests

Michael is an advanced surgeon, able to perform orthopaedic procedures and advanced soft tissue surgeries. He also has loads of experience with Birds & Exotics (snakes, lizards etc) and is a large animal vet. You could say Michael is the ultimate all-round super vet!

Michael has also visited one of the Royal Canin factories overseas and was very impressed with the quality and controls! Michael believes that good nutrition plays a big part in keeping our pets healthy.

DR Emma Dunning – Lead Vet

Who is Emma when she’s not being a vet?

Dancing the night away! Emma is a mad keen dancer and has tried it all; everything from the Argentine tango, Ballroom, Salsa, Modern Jive, Jazz and Ballet right through to Square dancing. When she is not dancing up a storm Emma can be found at the beach playing beach volleyball, swimming, stand up paddle boarding or learning to surf.


Emma graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours).

 Special Interests

Emma has a broad range of experience from her time in mixed practice. She enjoys treating all animals great and small however, her main area of interest is small animal surgery. She is currently studying to undertake her surgical memberships for this reason. She helps to share this passion with other vets through her work with continuing education workshops. When she’s not knee deep in surgery, Emma is a strong advocate of patient welfare though better client communication and education.

Dr David Jones – Senior Vet

Who is David when he’s not being a vet?

Dr David made the move ‘down under’ from the UK in 2012. He loves the laid back lifestyle on the Sunshine Coast and can often be found, coffee in hand, at the beach walking his sausage dog Peppa. His other passions outside of work are scuba diving and underwater photography.


David graduated from the University of Liverpool in England in 2008 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. He is also currently completing a postgraduate Master of Veterinary Studies externally with Murdoch University in his spare time. David has over 12 years’ experience and brings his incredible medical knowledge to our practice.

Special Interests

David is passionate about all areas of veterinary medicine and surgery, with a special interest in ultrasonography and cardiology. His interest in medicine has driven him to do his post graduate Masters of Veterinary Studies. Dr David also has a special interest in Ultrasonography from performing pregnancy ultrasounds to diagnostic ultrasounds. David’s thoroughness paired with his calm, kind manner are fast seeing him become a well-loved veterinarian with our clients.

Dr Leah Barth – Vet

Who is Leah when she is not being a vet?

Enjoying the sunny days of our wonderful coastline, especially in ‘winter’, Leah tries to keep up with her busy husband and young son. Considers herself a perpetual beginner surfer, SUP and general beach goer. She loves a good walk in the forest too and calms down with a pilates class when she can. Proper local, Leah enjoyed childhood here on the coast’s hinterland and despite trying out a few other options, can’t beat coming back home.


A University of Queensland graduate in 2007, Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons). Also learned a lot from a working ‘holiday’ in the UK in 2014.

​Special Interests

Dr Leah has attained a post-graduate qualification called a membership in veterinary behaviour, she offers behaviour consultations to tailor treatment plans for pets with anxiety, aggression and other problem situations. She enjoys the challenge of trying to optimize the mental health of our pets alongside the general medicine and surgery that a vet handles day to day. Leah is always keen to hear all the clever ways pets train their owners.

Dr Madison Greinke – Vet

Who is Madi when she is not being a vet?

A lover of all things outdoors! Madi loves getting her fingers into the dirt and tending to her rainforest garden while keeping an ear and eye out for the local birds. Having recently moved from Townsville, you may even run into her taking the opportunity to prefect her hang ten in the waves. She has a keen interest in wildlife care having rescued and rehabilitated kangaroos, possums, gliders, bats and even a tree kangaroo!


Madi graduated from James Cook University after some extra tuitions time thanks to COVID in early 2021 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science.

​Special Interests

Madi is keen on all things wildlife and exotics and is looking forward to developing her skills in the coming years. She is also passionate about providing a holistic approach to pet health care, encompassing preventative medicine, nutrition and environmental enrichment.

Annabelle – Hospital Coordinator / Senior Veterinary Nurse

Who is Annabelle when she is not being a vet nurse?

Annabelle loves taking her two dogs, Lenny the Labrador and Dr. Dre the Blue Heeler to the beach. In her spare time she enjoys yoga/pilates and playing music.

Anabelle loves travelling and has spent time volunteering in animal shelters overseas.


Annabelle has been a Veterinary Nurse for 4 years, but is also studying Law. She plans to become an Animal Rights Lawyer.

Special Interests

Annabelle has an interest in animal behaviour and aims to make every visit as stress free as possible for your pet. She loves hairy ears and squeezing anything pustular. As well as loving surgical nursing, Annabelle enjoys spending time with clients and educating them on parasite prevention and nutrition. 

Jessica – Senior Vet Nurse

Who is Jess when she is not being a vet nurse?

Jess has recently moved to the Sunshine Coast and is enjoying the beach lifestyle. When she’s not in the sun, she can be found hiking up a mountain and living the outdoor life. Jess also loves live music and is a keen gig-goer.


Jessica has a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. 

Special Interests

Jess has a keen interest in orthopaedic procedures and enjoys nursing her patients throughout and after their procedures.

She loves the surgery nursing side of her job, and will be found in the hospital on any given day, being a super organised ninja and keeping the vets busy.

Jess loves cats, she has two little furry creatures of her own that get lots of love from their mummy.

Irina – Vet nurse

Who is Irina when she is not being a vet nurse?

Outside of work, Irina loves to travel and experience new cultures. She also enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, camping, fishing and boating. Irina also loves to relax and restore by reading a good book.


Irina has completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in Russia. She has been working in the veterinary industry for over 10 years!

Special Interests

Irina is particularly interested in surgical nursing and intensive care as well as laboratory diagnostics.

Sheridan – Vet Nurse

Who is Sheridan when she is not being a vet nurse?

Outside of work Sheridan keeps herself busy by photographing wildlife, bushwalking, camping, listening to music, reading and jogging.


Sheridan has been working as a nurse since 2007 and graduated from TAFE NSW in 2009 with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Special Interests

Sheridan has a special interest in our avian friends as well as wildlife.

Jazmin – Vet Nurse

Jazi has recently graduated from her Cert IV in Vet Nursing. In her spare in Jaz likes to ride her horses Silver and Ringer. Jaz also has a Cattle Dog named Fern and newly adopted kitten named Benson.

Jaz also has a keen eye for anything garden related.


Jaz has a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Special Interest

Jaz has a strong interest in surgical nursing and enjoys getting involved in anything that’s hospital related. She also enjoys being on reception and chatting to all the lovely clients that we have.

Morgan – Vet Nurse

Who is Morgan when she is not being a vet nurse?

Morgan has recently moved to the Sunshine Coast from Mount Isa. In her spare time, Morgan loves reading, scuba diving and going to the beach. She has a Red Cattle dog named Ava who loves taking for swims and walks!


Morgan has her Certificate III in Animal Studies and is currently working towards her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Special Interests

Morgan loves surgical nursing but is also passionate about customer care. She loves to make our clients feel welcome!

Renee – Vet Nurse

Who is Renee when she’s not being a vet nurse?
In her spare time, Renee can be found spending time at the beach with her husband and two children. Renee also loves spending time with her fur-children too. She has two dogs, a cat and three guinea pigs.

Renee completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2014 and has gained a wealth of knowledge working in clinics ever since.

Special Interests
Renee loves working as a Hospital Nurse and has a passion for Emergency/Critical Care.

Genelle – Groomer

Who is Genelle when she is not being a groomer?

Outside of work Genelle loves to spend time with her family and friends and her pet Pug named Pearl (we like to call Pearl our clinic mascot).


Genelle is a very skilled groomer with 10 years experience under her belt.

Special Interests

Genelle loves all aspects of grooming however she does have a special interest in Poodle Grooming.
